Or better yet, why not just add a plugin like Disqus or something? Those can help you prevent spam. I’m currently using it on my blog (www.qainetic.com ‘s blog). Eventhough I’m not seeing any comments on any of my posts yet but at least its good that there aren’t anything bad or annoying to respond.
